Description
Digging out the floor of the Skokholm cottage. Several tons of earth were removed to install a modern ventilated floor. The original floorboards had been laid directly onto the earth and were completely rotten. Underneath the floorboards not a single item of historic record was found. Volunteers from left to right are Will Wittington, Steve Sutcliffe and Sam Robins.
