Grave in memory of William Jones in area B at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (B14). See plan for area B for the grave's location in the graveyard.
Inscription B14: BYDDWCH BAROD/ y gorwedd y rhan farwol o/ WILLIAM JONES/ a'r Hafod au yn mhlwf/ Llanbadarnfawr yn hwn a fu farw/ Awst 12ed yn y Flwyddyn 1840/ Yn ddeg a deugain/ OED/ marw a wnelwyf afarwolaeth yr uniawn/ Pwy sy'n gorwedd mewn g'wael annedd/ Yma yn y dyfn fedd du!/ Gwr o Israel gwir Nathaniel/ Hyd nes clywo'r angel eu/ IESU oedd ei rym ar obaith/ Yn ei daith a'r nefol dir/ IESU'n gyflym ddaw i'w gymryd/ Fry i wynfyd nef cyn hir.
Description: In a plot with other monuments surrounded with iron railing. geometrical fan shape at each corner of the monument. Some elaborate swirls at top of the moment which may contain script.
This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
