Description

Looking from Montgomeryshire towards Shropshire. The border is the far side of the bridge. As there is smoke coming from the limeworks chimney this photograph must have been taken before 1914 when the limeworks closed. The building on the far side of the bridge is the Sun Inn, now demolished.
The Llanymynech branch of the Ellesmere canal was built in 1796.
