Description
Grave in memory of Mary Morgan in area B at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (B66). See plan for area B for the grave's location in the graveyard.
Inscription B66: Here Lyeth the/ Body of Mary/ Morgan ye Wife of/ Griffith Morgan in the/ Parifh of Lanfihangel y/ Croyddun who died/ november ye 30 1750/ Aged 39 years/ Mewn bauar ddu ...rdd...n...s/ Wrth g...afy chwi am gloch...ch/ yn gorffwis/ Yn sudan mewn G... dan .../ Wrth arch piredig o barachuis.
Description: chest tomb with one base but two flat slabs on the top (B66 and B67). Fair however some of inscription is becoming difficult to read due to lichen growth.
This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
