Description
Grave in memory of Griffith Morgan in area B at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (B67). See plan for area B for the grave's location in the graveyard.
Inscription B67: Here/ Lieth the Body of/ GRIFFITH MORGAN/ late of Prignant ifsa in the Parish/ of Llanfihangel ลท Croyddyn, who/ Departed this life the 4th of July 1793/ In the 84 year of his Age.
Description: chest tomb with one base but two flat slabs on the top (B66 and B67). appears to have been a mistake on the word ifsa. Mason originally inscribed nsa and corrected to ifsa (maybe was meant to be issa). Here is in an elaborate script. There is a flower carved into the last e of here.
This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
