Description

CH.2010.2 - Eleanor and Georgiana Ormerod were sisters. They published many informative texts on insect pests at a time when women rarely worked in science. Georgiana illustrated, while Eleanor carried out the research. In 1881, they published the “Manual of Injurious Insects.” Over 170,000 copies of their pamphlet on the warble fly were printed.
