Description

No number - The scientific value of egg collections rests with the information that is recorded with them about where and when they were collected. These eggs were probably donated to Powysland Museum before 1922. Owning and collecting wild birds’ eggs is an offence in UK and European law. Well documented, historic museum egg collections are often used for research, for example in monitoring pollution levels and environmental changes.
