Description

Interior of Whitland Dairies. The manager was L Coleman manager.

The creamery at Whitland was established in 1914 and grew to become the largest manufacturing creamery in Britain, covering an area of 19 acres; it was rail served from 1930. Facilities included a spray drier tower for producing milk powder. Butter was also produced, but not cheese. The site closed in November 1994.
