Description

Traditional Welsh folk song. Tune and first verse are first found in a collection of folk songs submitted for the 1910 Eisteddfod in Colwyn Bay. First collected in the Vale of Aeron and in the area around Talysarn. The song describes a humourous journey to Rhymni in the South Wales Valleys. The verses are macaronic in nature, alternating between Welsh and English.
Sung by Heather Jones, accompanied by Chris Jones on guitar, as part of the Alawon Fy Ngwlad joint project between trac, Caerphilly County Borough Council and Menter Caerffili.
