Description
Peace and Goodwill Message 1961.
Themes: 40th message, survived “the wars and upheavals of the period”, world has become small, nations have become near neighbours, eager to continue to understand and help each other, age of science and atom, youth determined to persist with goodwill for the future.
Quote: “We live in the age of science, the age of the atom, the age of discovery and invention, the age of risk and adventure. What of the future? … Let us, the youth of the world, be determined that there shall be no change in our feelings of goodwill towards one another. Science has made us neighbours; let goodwill keep us friends.”
