Description
A large photograph mounted on card showing a group of Special Constable's of the former Cardiff City Police.
It is described as '6 C 1940 PARADE'. At the top of the photograph is a copy of the Special Constabulary lapel badge.
It is believed that this photograph was taken at the old police station at The Law Courts, Cardiff.
Special Constables were recruited by every British police force during World War II. Cardiff was no exception and would have recruited several hundred to assist the Regular officers.
