A Carte de Visite (CDV) photograph of Cardiff Borough Policeman taken in about 1885 - 1890. Photographer shown as A.L. Beard of Cardiff. An advert in the Cardiff and Merthyr Guardian dated Saturday 1st April 1871 states: A.L. Beard, Art Photographer, &c., begs to announce that he has removed from 280 Buss ,8 Royal Arcade, St. Mary Street Cardiff, where he hopes, by moderate charges and strict atten- tion, to secure a continuance and extension of the patronage hitherto bestowed upon him.
