Description

Ingredients

two quarts dandelion flowers
four quarts water
three oranges, sliced
three lemons, sliced
two pounds sugar cubes
half an ounce yeast spread over a piece of toast


Method

Cover the flowers and the fruit with the water and boil for forty minutes.
Then strain through muslin.
Boil the liquid again for about half an hour and then add the sugar.
Pour the liquid into a large pan and when cool add the yeast.
Leave to ferment for three days.
Strain, bottle and leave to mature for two months before using.
