Ingredients

one quart buttermilk
one quart fresh milk


Method

Put the cold buttermilk in a large bowl and quickly pour into it the fresh milk, boiling hot.
This will cause the two different milks to turn into curds and whey.

The above dish, flavoured with ginger was taken as an antidote to the common cold shortly before retiring to bed.

Treacle was sometimes added to the above dish, which was then termed posel triog (triog posset).
