Description
On the 9th September 1989 a group of former American soldiers based in Dre-fach,Felindre during 1943 and 1944 sent a letter and picture to Mr Emrys Owen Griffiths, a local shopkeeper, to greet the local villagers . In the war years the village was a staging post and accommodated thousands of soldiers from many countries on their way to the war in Europe.
