Peace and Goodwill Message Poster for 1983. Themes: sitting by the river, yearning to cross the river to be friends with those the other side, not an ordinary river, years of hatred, violence and war have polluted its waters an no one yet has managed to cross by struggling against its flow, build a bridge, building materials ready, foundation of kindness, walls of trust, handrails of tolerance, build from both sides and meet in the middle. Quote: But how to cross – that’s the problem, for this is no ordinary river. Years of hatred, violence and war have polluted its waters and no one yet has managed to cross by struggling against its flow. If then we cannot cross through the river, let us build a bridge over it – one that will be high and strong to carry us safely over the troubled waters."
