Description

28 April 1941 Jack Bradbury (Navigator) was a crew member aboard T9075 captained by Vic Hodgkinson. Unable to return to Pembroke Dock, they attempted a forced landing in the Irish sea, the Sunderland crashed due to a faulty altimeter reading, which read 500 ft when in fact they were at sea level surrounded by thick fog. Bradbury was severely injured, suffering a broken leg and concussion. Only five of the crew survived.
