Description

This model of a BE2c aeroplane was made from an actual crashed BE2c aeroplane by Jack Askey, a mechanic during WWI. The BE2c is a reconnaissance aircraft designed by the government’s Royal Aircraft Factory, the model plane provides tangible aspects of Britain’s aviation history. The mechanic Jack Askey would have formed part of a particular community, in which he would have been responsible for maintaining and repairing these planes during WWI.
