Description
A large photograph mounted on card showing the Instructors of the Police District Training Centre which was located at that time in Bryncethin, near Bridgend.
It is dated 21st November 1946.
There were 8 Police Training Centre's across England and Wales. This one trained mainly new recruits to Welsh police forces, but at time took recruits from police forces located close to Wales.
Not long after this photograph was taken, the Training Centre was relocated to the Headquarters premises of Glamorgan Constabulary, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, the current site of the South Wales Police Headquarters..
