Description

A photograph taken from a helicopter in 1967. A view looking east of the Glamorgan Constabulary Sports & Social Club, Waterton Cross, Bridgend.

Also shown are the newly built residential flats....the right half having been built for residential Police Cadets and the left half for members of the Dog Section and their families.

The main road is the A.473 (now a dual carriageway) leading from the junction with the A.48 Waterton Cross roundabout and on to Coychurch and Pencoed. The road that can be seen furthest left is South Road (now Bridgend Industrial Estate). The area has changed a lot since this photograph was taken.
