Description
Women workers at Mettoy Factory, Fforest fach, Swansea – c.end 1960s early 1970s. Madge is in the photograph. She worked on the assembly line but worked herself up to be a ‘white-coat’ (charge hand) on the night shift. She was born in 1927 and came down to Loughor to live from Birkenhead in 1966 when her husband was helping to build Trostre works.
