This is Penarth Station, not Barry. The date is probably c.1967 not long before the closure of the Penarth to Cadoxton line. at this time through services were discontinued and the line to Cadoxton worked as a shuttle service by a single unit diesel railcar as shown in the foreground. In the background a three car diesel multiple unit forms a connection from Penarth to Cardiff.
