Description

In 1885 Penarth swimming baths were opened. Located on the seafront and costing £7,000 to build this was a classic example of Penarth’s Victorian architecture. The baths were fed with saltwater from the Bristol Channel which was stored in reservoirs below Alexandra Park and filtered before filling the bathing pools. The property is now privately owned.
