Description

Photograph of part of the Hidden Now Heard Exhibition at Carmarthenshire Museum about Hospital. In this picture you can see the telephone, where oral histories could be listened to and the clothes rack, which explained about how practices changed regarding residents' clothing and belongings. In the earlier years of long stay hospitals, almost everything was treated as communal, including clothes, towels and even toothbrushes. As time went on, staff at the hospitals changed practices in order to make belongings more personalised, such as adding name tags to clothes, or taking residents shopping.
