Description

The completed lesser hall and work continuing on the main hall, 2017.

The Royal Court of Llywelyn ab Iorwerth (Llywelyn the Great) is being recreated at St Fagans National Museum of History.

School pupils will be able to spend the night and experience life at the beginning of the 13th century. Llys Llywelyn is based on the surviving remains of Llys Rhosyr in Newborough, Anglesey. All aspects – from the building method, to the decor and objects within it – will be faithful to the period. On completion, visitors will be able to experience life during the golden age of Welsh Princes.
