Description

Letter written to Thomas Benbow Phillips at Pelotas by Christopher James at Rio Grande do Sul, dated 4 May 1868.

Christopher James reported that he had received Thomas Benbow Phillips's valued favour per S Pedro and the box of butter. He was returning the box under the care of Mr Domingo Cordeiso's son, Benjamin. He enclosed 6 milreis as payment for the butter, and asked if Thomas Benbow Phillips's son would keep an account of the butter for him, since he himself would not do so.
