Letter written to Captain Evans on the Brig “Rush” from Stuart Barnes at Calle Reconquista 72, Buenos Aires, 24 March 24 1873

Stuart Barnes admonished Captain Evans, in no uncertain terms, that was very unhappy with the way that he had disobeyed instuctions clearly given to him in writing and personally in Montevideo as to the goods on board the “Rush”. These goods should have been delivered to Thomas Benbow Phillips. Stuart Barnes now charged Captain Evans to give Thomas Benbow Phillips a full inventory of all the goods on board, together with a full account of any sales that the Captain had made.
