Description
The Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama. The Executive Committee were the minds behind this society and this item shows the minutes of an Executive Committee meeting.
In this entry, page 103, the Committee explains how the three sections of the Society work together as a family. They further go on to explain that the Orchestral section's efforts are admirable and that they should be encouraged to perform to the public, the Operatic section is praised for its affluence on entertainment and that it should maintain their efforts, and the Choral section is encouraged to continue to perform despite constant difficulties.
