Description

F. A. Legg writes to the miners in response to their letter of 9 April. He says that he regrets to hear of their 'dissatisfaction'. However, he feels that under the circumstances, the agent [Captain Trewren] 'had no option in the matter' and was 'bound by the terms of the setting to accept' the offer of the Cornishmen to work the bargain.
