Description

This letter was sent to Lord Newborough by Rev. Hugh Price, chairman of the Caernarfonshire Quarter Sessions, 4 May 1846.

Rev. Hugh Price gives an account of the two raids on the neighbourhood of Penmaen-mawr. The first raid was carried out by the police and the second by the troops, previously called in under Captain Wynne. Several of the rioters were apprehended. Some were allowed out on bail, one turned King's evidence against the other.
