Description

Humphrey Jones writes to his parents on 8 August 1854 from London. He informs them that the Hackney area is 'fairly healthy' and that he gets plenty of exercise in the chemist shop where he works, even though it is not the 'nicest of jobs'. He attends the Welsh chapel every Sunday morning and has chosen to attend the Baptist chapel.
