Description

Ernie Jones tells us of taking 17 gallon churns of to Hayes Gate for collection by lorry. Recalling the transport of hay from Caldicot levels to Crick, Ernie describes applying a shoe (brake) on the wagon at Mount Ballan to control the speed down the Crick road. In another section, using the two most powerful horses to pull reaper and binder when cutting corn.
