Description

This silver cup was presented to Sir Henry Walton Ellis by the City of Worcester for his services during the Napoleonic Wars. Ellis died of wounds received at the Battle of Waterloo on 20 June 1815, whilst commanding the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers. Worcester was Walton Ellis's home town and there is an impressive memorial to him in the Cathedral.
