Description

This is a very interesting plan of an early propeller, as it states: 'screw propeller for the Henry Southan'. This was the first iron ship built for an outsider in 1845 and the first screw steamer. This was only two years after SS Great Britain was launched. It is also interesting in that the pitch has been reduced from 20 feet to 16 feet.
