Description

View from the road junction looking toward the church tower.St Illtud’s church is a medieval church on an ancient Celtic site. An extension from the 1970’s enables the church to offer a variety of facilities in addition to the church.
The belltower is dated 1636 but the long walls of the nave and at least the south wall of the chancel date from the 13th Century, other work is thought to date from 1525. The church was extensively remodelled in the early 1970’s giving a modern interior.
The photo also shows 4 Edwardian children. The gate and the lamp above it have now gone.
