Description
A collection of 20 cartoons by J. M. Staniforth relating to the First World War. These cartoons were originally published in the 'Western Mail' during August and September 1914 and reprinted (presumably later that year) as a booklet entitled 'Cartoons of the War'. The cover price was 3d. The cartoon on the front cover is captioned 'Prudence the Better Part of Valour' and was originally published on 15 August 1914.
