Description

Neolithic pottery shard from Abermule. Fragment of a decorated bowl found during pipelaying operations. The decoration and the shape of the vessel suggest that it was in use in the period 2900-1800 BC and is therefore amongst the earliest pots that are known in the county of Montgomeryshire.
