Description

A gavel used by president of the Cambrian Women's Auxiliary, a division of the Vancouver Welsh Society. It was in existence until the early 2000s. The group was responsible for teas: The Daffodil Tea, the Te Bach at the Gymanfas. During World War II, they knit items for the war effort. It was also a social group that held regular monthly lunches. They were similar to the Women's Institute in the U.K.
