Description

Photographed by Geoff Charles. The decision of the town council to open the café in the Owain Glyndwr Institute, Machynlleth, on Sundays, was reported to have caused great disquiet in the town in March 1955. This photograph shows a group of men playing billiards in the Institute. A sign behind them reads 'Open Sundays'.
