Description
The Mess Dress Uniform belonging to Surgeon Lieutenant Percival Smith of 2nd Volunteer Battalion South Wales Borderers. The uniform is of Dark Green Rifle Brigade pattern rather than the standard red infantry pattern as the 2nd Battalion was very proud of their Rifle Volunteer origins. Surgeon Smith served in the battalion between 1892-1900.
