Description

Claire shares her story of using Wrexham Women’s Aid as a means of escape from an abusive relationship.

She shares how isolating domestic abuse can be, and how using these aids in an environment free from judgement, meant she was able to receive the support she needed to spot abuse behavioural patterns and remove herself from these situations, highlighting the importance of the work done within these organisations.

This digital story was recorded for ‘Forty Voices Forty Years’.
Forty Voices, Forty Years is a heritage project led by Welsh Women’s Aid in collaboration with the George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling at the University of South Wales.
