do you know anyone else in the photo? I think that my great grandfather is in it as well. His name was William Brown and he was one of the colliers who died in the disaster. I have an almost identical photo from my great grandmothers house but no other photo of him. I presume that he`s in it but don`t know which one is actually him.

Your great grandfather William Brown, lived in Cambrian Street Deri as did my great grandfather. I have seen a copy of this photo somewhere with all the men's names on. I still live in Deri and will ask around and try to find out more.

thank you so much for taking the time to find out which one was my great grandfather William Brown - yes I know that he lived in Cambrian St as my mum was born in the same house and I spent a lot of time visiting there when I was a child. It`s lovely to be able to point him out to my own children now - many thanks again
