Description

At one time, local people referred to Cardigan Quay as 'Cei Rankin Bach' (Little Rankin's Quay). The name derived from the surname of a Mr Rankin, the owner of the row of warehouses which can be seen on the right. The vessel 'S.S. Sea Flower' can be seen in the photograph, which was taken from Cardigan Bridge.

A reference to S.S. Seaflower can be found in W. J. Lewis, The Gateway to Wales: A History of Cardigan (Carmarthen, 1990), p.53.
