Description

A print entitled 'Breddyn Mountains from Powis Castle grounds' from a drawing by E. Pugh and engraved by I. Havell. This was first published in London in April 1814 by E. Williams of the Strand. The landscape here, as in many topographical prints of the 19th century, is represented as being rather more rugged and romantic than it would have been in reality. Such artists licence would do no harm to the publishers sales.
