The Story of the CLIFTONIAN
The CLIFTONIAN was a British steamer captained by J. O. Enos, Aberystwyth. Travelling from Cardiff with a cargo of coal, she was sunk by U 85 commanded by KapLt Willy Petz on 6 February 1917. Her wreck lies 4.5 miles south east off Galley Head, Ireland. There were no casualties.
