Description
Scientific Name:Laccaria laccata
Fungi facts:This fungus is commonly known as the 'Deceiver' as it is very variable in colour which can range from shades of salmon to brick red or very pale when drying out. It is normally found in woodland where it forms mycorrhizal relationships with both deciduous and conifer trees. It is edible but can be confused with similar looking poisonous species.
