Description
A view of the southern end of the village showing the Glamorgan Canal, Taff Vale Railway and Cardiff Railway. The building in the foreground was the Walnut Tree Inn and the cottages behind were known as Canal Row although their correct name was Forest Road. Just behind the railway bridge is a small railway shed - this survived until 2019 when it was demolished for the redevelopment of the site for the new terminus of the Cardiff Metro.
