Gutyn Ebrill wrote this letter in Buenos Aires the day before he was set to leave for Patagonia aboard the 'Monte Leon'. The contingent of emigrants travelling on the 'Leibnitz' arrived the previous night, and they will continue their journey to the Settlement on the 'Monte Leon'. He has been staying at the emigrants' accommodation in Buenos Aires and complains that it is substandard. He says that the harvest is likely to be poor this year.
