Description

This newspaper article from South Wales Argus, 15th October 1962 describes the plan to rebuild the 'Church on the Corner' as it was then known into a multi-purpose building that would better serve the community of Maindee. Fewer people were attending Church and there was a growing influx of people from Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Caribbean as well as people from England coming to work at the steelworks based in Llanwern.
