Monmouthshire
to wit }
Morgan Porter of the parish of
Aberystruth in the said County of
Monmouth Labourer on his
oath Saith.
On Sunday last I saw a number of persons
assembled at the house of Zephaniah Williams in
the parish of Aberystruth in the said County of
Monmouth that was about 7 o clock in the evening.
I saw two of the men with Flintlocks in their hands.

and many others with daggers or pikes two hundred
I have been in the habit of frequenting Williams'
house - I have seen a great number of men paying
in money to Mr Williams - Williams put the amount
Down in a Book which I believe he kept for that
purpose - the persons so paying in called themselves
chartists- My next Door neighbour | [?] Thomas a Tiler
and Plasterer, told me that he had taken a Card from
____________________he advised me to get a card also
Zephaniah Williams as a chartist ^ - My wife also
told me that another neighbour named Vivian
had taken a Card as a chartist -
